Everyone knows that I like to be different. Many of you know that I often ask you about what’s your “why” – what’s your passion. For me, I’ve always responded that mine is to make a difference in the world for those that are part of my family – not only my immediate family, but also my clients, co-workers and colleagues.
I’ve had a lot of folks from the industry reaching out and asking what I’m up to these days. Over the next few weeks you’ll see the launch of my new company, Cyvatar, and be assured, it’s something different. Everyone also knows that I like to break all the rules and do something that no one has ever done before. So I’ve spent some time to rethink and create. Cyvatar will be a creationist evolving the cybersecurity industry with the goal to secure the world’s information.
What I can tell you is that Cyvatar is a servant company. We want to serve CISOs, customers, and product vendors by working TOGETHER to solve the risks associated with cybersecurity. Our goal is to make everyone’s experience better by providing actual measurable outcomes. I’ve never wanted to be successful without helping others be successful too. There’s always been enough room for all of us to succeed.
At Cyvatar, we learned a long time ago that it’s not about us – it’s about you! And we want to leverage the success that we deliver to you by helping the community. Cyvatar is a startup but is committing to donating a portion of our revenue starting with the food banks that support families in need in this time of crisis. Daily we’re hearing stories of our community members who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Cybersecurity has been a privileged industry and we need to do our part.
As part of our company launch, we have been planning a local event at a beach resort – but COVID19 changed that. We decided the way of the future is digital and will now be hosting the event virtually. More to come soon on that!
But what evolved from this is that all the monies that would have been spent at a luxury resort could be repurposed into something bigger. Something more meaningful. Our family extends to those who are part of our community – and we need to help them.
We pose a challenge to the cyber community. Cyvatar has already donated 4000 meals to the Food Bank of LA.
We know this situation is going to get worse before it gets better.
We challenge you, as part of our family, to do your part!
