We believe the next great customer success team is small, senior, and AI-powered.
Most customer success orgs scale by adding headcount. We are building ours differently. We pair real renewals and member-experience craft with an AI automation layer that does the heavy prep, so a small team can carry a large book of happy customers without anyone burning out.
This is not a traditional customer success seat with a chatbot bolted on. You will be the day-to-day operator of that automation layer, and you will make it better over time. If you are a customer success professional who already does real work with Claude or a comparable AI tool, and you light up at the idea of teaching an AI to do the boring 60 percent so you can own the human 40 percent, keep reading.

AI MX Operator (Customer Success / Renewals)
A customer success and renewals professional who is genuinely fluent with AI tooling and comfortable living in HubSpot, who owns a book of renewals and runs the automation layer that lets a small team deliver world-class Member Experience.
What you will own
The renewal book
Drive every renewal end to end. Build the quote, run the cycle, and close it cleanly. A renewal should be a non-event for the customer, because you saw it coming and prepared early.
Customer health and retention
Track the health of every account, get ahead of risk before it shows up at renewal, and run the save conversation when an account wobbles. Spot the accounts ready for more and tee up the growth.
QBRs customers value
Run quarterly business reviews that connect what Cyvatar does to the outcomes a customer's leadership cares about. Walk in with the data already pulled and a clear story, not a status dump.
Onboarding and kickoffs
Own the kickoff for newly closed customers so they reach value fast. Set the relationship, the goals, and the first 30 days. Time-to-value is the whole game, and onboarding sets the entire relationship.
Trusted advisor and voice of the customer
Be the person your accounts call first. Carry their feedback back into the company so the service keeps getting better, and turn happy members into references and referrals.
Partner coordination
Cyvatar delivers with a stack of best-in-class security partners. Keep the right partner motion running on each account so the customer feels one seamless team, never a vendor relay.
Billing and subscription accuracy
Get the billing right. Terms, billing periods, and renewals reconciled in our subscription system. The details here are not allowed to be "mostly right."
A clean system of record
Live in HubSpot. Contact roles labeled, fields complete, associations clean, the book always reflecting reality. Good data is what lets the automation work.
🤖 Operate the AI layer (this is the difference)
You are the day-to-day operator of an AI automation layer that does the heavy prep, so your time goes to customers and not paperwork. With Claude and our internal tooling you will generate renewal packets and scaffold draft quotes from prior-term data, pull a QBR data-pack before every call, run hygiene sweeps across the book, draft customer emails and tight internal summaries, and produce the weekly book report.
Just as important, you will make the tooling better over time. Tighten the prompts, close the gaps, add a verification step where the output drifts, and turn a vague task into a reliable, repeatable workflow. You will know exactly where AI accelerates the work and where a human has to own the decision, and you will hold that line.
What great looks like in your first year
- Renewals are non-events. Customers are never surprised, and the value story is always ready before the conversation.
- You see risk before the dashboard does, and you have already acted on it.
- Every customer can name the outcome Cyvatar delivered for them this quarter.
- Your book's data is the cleanest in the company, because the automation depends on it and so do you.
- You operate AI-first. Your instinct is "can the tooling prep this?" before you do it by hand, and you improve the tooling when it falls short.
What we are looking for
Must-haves
- 3+ years in customer success, account management, or renewals, ideally B2B SaaS or managed services. You have personally owned a renewal number.
- Genuine AI fluency. You already use Claude or a comparable AI tool to do real work, and you can show us how.
- Hands-on HubSpot proficiency: deals, line items, quotes, properties, pipelines. You can build a quote without hand-holding.
- Excellent written communication. A warm, on-brand customer email and a tight internal summary both come naturally.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You help build the playbook, you do not just follow one.
- Real detail discipline. Dates, terms, and records do not get to be approximate.
Nice-to-haves
- A cybersecurity or managed-security background, enough to hold a credible conversation about a customer's security program.
- Experience building automations or workflows (HubSpot workflows, Zapier, scripting, or LLM-driven automation).
- Maxio or comparable subscription-billing experience.
- Experience with channel or partner-resold deals, where a resold renewal bills differently from a direct one.
- A prompt-engineering instinct. You can take a vague task and turn it into a reliable AI workflow.
What we will explore together
We screen for real AI fluency, not buzzwords. Expect to talk through specifics like these.
- The last real task you handed to an AI tool. What it was, how you prompted it, what it got wrong the first time, and how you fixed the prompt or the output.
- How you would get from prior-term line items to a review-ready draft quote using AI, and what you would always verify by hand before it goes anywhere near a customer.
- Where you would not let AI act on its own in a customer-success workflow, and why.
- A workflow that comes out slightly off one time in five. How you make it reliable instead of routing around it.
How you will ramp
Learn the book and the tooling. Get hands-on in HubSpot, run the renewal calendar, and start owning your first renewals with automation support behind you.
Owning your renewal book end to end, running your first QBRs and save calls, and starting to improve the automation you operate rather than just running it.
Running a full book at a level of leverage a traditional rep cannot match, and measurably lightening the load for the whole team through the tooling you have sharpened.
